Software start-up AlphaBlox today rolled out a beta version of a new package for simplifying the delivery of its analysis tools over the Web.
Due to ship later this quarter, AlphaBlox Assembly Studio is a framework of templates that helps IS developers deliver specific business analysis applications throughout a company or business via the Web.
The package consists of a series of application templates, which consist of one or more business analysis modules specific to the line of business being analyzed.
The new package is an extension of the company's flagship product AlphaBlox Enlighten, a suite of analysis applications that consists of a Java building tool that can be assembled into analysis applications without coding, a framework, and a server for maintenance and administration of the suite. Enlighten was released in March.
Application Assembly Studio works with AlphaBlox's Dynamic Application Assembly software. DAA allows users to piece together Web-deployable analytical applications without using coding, according to the company.
The technology offers a "Lego-like" approach where building blocks--Blox--are literally snapped together on a Web page. That creates an analysis application that can be accessed through Java capable Web browsers.
AlphaBlox Application Studio is priced at $4,995 per application assembler and includes two days of assembly training, the company said.
