Adobe Type Manager Light 4.6: a follow-up

CNET staff
Last time, we reported the release of Adobe Type Manager (ATM) Light 4.6. What's new? As to what is new in the update: William Perez reminds us that it now supports OpenType fonts (see previous item). However, he adds that "it is still not compatible with Multiple Users." When we started up after a system crash this morning, we saw a new error message from ATM Light 4.6. It said: "Your computer did not shutdown properly. ATM is examining the fonts database and will make such repairs as necessary." Problems (or not)? The Read Me info that comes with ATM 4.6 cites certain remaining issues (as noted last time). Oddly, several readers claim that these problems do not exist: Don Montalvo had no trouble running Acrobat without the supposedly required Symbol and Zapf Dingbats fonts. Ean White was able to use GlobalFax software, even with the Helvetica 24-point bitmap font present. ATM Deluxe 4.6 due soon? Finally, do not install this "Light" update if you use Adobe Type Manager Deluxe. A separate Deluxe 4.6 update is supposedly due this week.
