Adobe Systems has released PageMaker 7.0, the newest version of its layout program. The software has improved support for Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format), which is a popular format for distributing documents over the Internet. With built-in PDF creation tools, people can create tagged PDF files to display documents on a variety of devices, including laptops and handheld computers. PageMaker 7.0 also offers tighter integration with Adobe Acrobat Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as updated support for importing Microsoft Word files.
PageMaker 7.0, which was announced last month, costs $499, or $79 for upgrades. For educators, it costs $289, or $79 for upgrades.
