Adobe refiles Macromedia antitrust papers
Refile is meant to give the Department of Justice's antitrust division more time to evaluate the deal.
Adobe Systems said it withdrew and refiled papers related to its proposed purchase of San Francisco software company Macromedia in order to give the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust division more time to evaluate the deal.
The pre-merger notification and report form was filed under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. Adobe said it refiled the papers voluntarily and still expects the deal to close this fall.
