Adobe Systems has acquired vector graphics technology from Actimagine, in a move to bolster its mobile technologies. Actimagine's vector graphics, which create images based on geometric formulas, will be used in Adobe Flash Lite and the company's other mobile products.

The acquisition also calls for Actimagine to include existing and future versions of Adobe Flash Lite in its service offerings. Adobe has been working on making Flash a general-purpose application development platform that would focus on video delivery, Web applications designed to run outside the browser, and mobile device applications.
