A software that zooms

Royal Philips Electronics and Be Here, an image technology company based in Los Angeles, unveiled a new feature for set-top boxes at the National Association of Broadcasters conference this week in Las Vegas. The software, dubbed Picture-In-Picture Navigable Visual Content, allows couch potatoes to choose and change their view of a TV event using a remote control. The application could have use in televised sports, entertainment or news program. With the software, viewers can pan, tilt and zoom in using the remote control.
