A laptop with your latte?

Now Starbucks customers can surf the Web while sipping a raspberry latte. The nation's largest coffeehouse chain and Compaq Computer will announce on Tuesday that they've entered into a five-year deal to outfit nearly 70 percent of Starbucks coffeehouses with wireless networks. Some stores will even have laptops to lend to their customers. The effort will initially focus on the 4,100 Starbucks stores in the United States. A Compaq spokeswoman said the same type of technology may also be installed in Starbucks outside the United States. Executives from both companies will announce the deal at a press conference Tuesday.
