To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its signature frosty drink, the convenience store chain 7-Eleven is offering customers a free small Slurpee, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

Though 7-Eleven offers this promotion every year on July 11 (aka: 7/11), it's holding a few more promotions due to the big 5-0. If you purchase seven Slurpees this week (from July 12-18), and download the 7-Eleven mobile app to become a reward member, you can receive 11 free Slurpees until August 31, 2016.

7-Eleven is also releasing a special Birthday Cake Slurpee flavor, and selling Slurpee-branded items such as birthday donuts, candy and snacks. Customers are encouraged to share their free drink on social media with the hashtag #Slurpee50.

The company first opened up shop in 1927, in Dallas. To date, more than 7.4 billion Slurpees have been sold since the drink's debut in 1966.
