360networks, a global communications carrier, said Tuesday that the company sold $475 million in network capacity during the first quarter of 2001. The company, which is building an 89,000-mile worldwide network, announced it sold more than 25 percent of the capacity on its new trans-Atlantic undersea span that links North America and Ireland. 360networks only recently activated the 360atlantic span last week.
