2Bridge updates Web publishing

2Share 2.0 allows users to create, manage, distribute, and personalize information over intranets and extranets, the company says.

2Bridge Software, a vendor of Web-based enterprise applications, today rolled out the latest version of its Web publishing and content management package.

Priced at $45,000, 2Share 2.0 allows users to create, manage, distribute, and personalize information over intranets and extranets by building enterprise portals, the company said.

2Share supports XML and runs on Microsoft Windows NT and Sun Solaris and can be used with Netscape Communications Communicator 4.04 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0.

2Share's InfoCenter allows users to develop a company-wide enterprise portal to access business information and collaboration and workflow management applications.

The MyView feature of the product lets users create a personalized view of business information through automatic filtering technology. In addition, users are emailed as new information is posted on the intranet or extranet.

The MyWork feature is a snapshot of each user's workflow and allows users to receive up-to-the-minute status on projects while collaborating with team members, the company said.

"Our vision is that a 'ready to wear, altered to fit' solution that is open and extensible is a fundamentally better model than custom-built solutions," said Mansoor Zakaria, founder and CEO of 2Bridge Software.

2Share is available now.
