Net marketing services company 24/7 Real Media announced Thursday that its president and chief operating officer, Tony Plesner, will step down after two years at the company to pursue other interests. Chief Revenue Officer John Barbera will take over Plesner's role as president of worldwide media; he was hired in September after leaving his job as COO of 24/7 Europe a year earlier. European chief Christopher Wagner has also been named chief of worldwide technology operations.
In addition, the company split into two operating divisions, media and technology. Barbera will run media sales, operations and partnerships worldwide, and Wagner will be his counterpart for technology sales. Plesner will remain as a consultant to 24/7 Real Media through the end of the year.
