When the iPhone originally launched, it brought with it a new way of doing voice mail.

No longer did users have to dial a random number to listen to each voice mail played back, all the while interacting with a computer voice. Visual voice mail allows you to skip the voice mails you don't want to listen to, and get to the messages that are truly important. One small feature of visual voice mail is the ability to restore deleted voice mails.

Restoring a deleted voice mail is simple and painless:

  3. Scroll to the bottom of your voice mail list. There you will see an item for Deleted Messages; tap on it.

  5. Behold, your very own voice mail graveyard. Assuming you have never cleared all of you messages from this location (which can be done by tapping Clear All), all of your deleted voice mails will be available to you here.

  7. If you want to move a message out of the deleted section and back to your main voice mail list, you need only tap on the voice mail and then Undelete.

Hopefully this saves you a headache or panic attack down the road.
