Samsung's next model in its Galaxy series, the S6, goes on sale globally today. And joining it in stores is the far more daring S6 Edge, a more expensive model with a swooping curved screen, like a smaller, symmetrical version of 2014's Galaxy Note Edge .

The two models mark a new direction for Samsung's flagship line, the S6 because of its glass and aluminum frame and embedded battery, and the S6 Edge due to its wraparound screen.
