The Gingerbread update to the Motorola Droid X added the ability to use app groups. Here's how to create custom app groups to help organize your growing collection of Android apps:
Tap the App Launcher icon on your desktop to open up your master list of apps.
Tap the "All apps" box in the upper left-hand corner to display the group list.
Tap "New group" to create a custom app group.
Type in the name of your new app group and tap the save icon.
Tap the + symbol to add apps to the new app group.
Select the apps you want in the new app group and tap the "OK" button.
If you want to add the app group to your Home screen, edit the group, edit the group icon, or remove the group, go back to the list of app groups and long press on the group you want to modify.
That's it. Now you can keep all your apps neatly organized in custom app groups.
