How to check your Twitter log-in history
Want to make sure you're the only person connecting to your Twitter account? Here's how to access the new connectivity dashboard on Twitter.
Until yesterday, Twitter didn't offer a way to view a log of the devices, apps, and IPs connecting to your account. It's important to be able to view this information in order to make sure the security measures on your account are working correctly. Now there's a new dashboard that lets you check these connections. Here's how to access it:
- Head to Twitter in your Web browser.
- Open the main menu in the top right (your profile picture) and choose Settings.
- Select Your Twitter data in the left menu.
You'll be presented with information about your account, such as: When it was created, the email and phone number associated with it, as well as a log of connections.
Do you see an app that you don't remember connecting to your account? You can remove it by going to Settings > Apps and clicking the Revoke access button. If you see a device or other connection you don't recognize, then it might be time to change your password, and setup two-factor authentication (if you haven't already).
The new dashboard isn't fancy, but it gets the job done when you need to make sure there aren't any unwanted connections happening on your account.
