I think we can all agree that packing is the worst. I might like it less than the actual act of flying or trying to get through airport security. With iOS app Stow 2, I can follow a customizable template to make sure I pack all I need for a trip.

Stow 2 is free, though you get additional features for a $1.99 in-app purchase. With the free app, you can create one profile, and it doesn't require an e-mail address or Facebook credentials.

After you create a profile, you can choose a template for the type of trip on which you are about to embark. The app starts you off with nine default templates along with a blank one. For any template you choose, you can add and remove items. When customizing your packing list, items are neatly grouped by category, making it easy to browse. You can also create items for your list, if you don't see them in any of the app's categories.

After selecting your template, you enter the dates for your trip. For any length of trip, Stow 2 asks if you'll be able to do laundry, and if so, you can adjust the number of days of clothes you'll need. Packing lists offer three views -- Not Packed, All Items, and Packed -- and you can check off items as you pack.

Spend $1.99 on Stow Premier, and the app will import your trips from Tripit, include weather forecasts to help you pack the right clothes for the conditions, add multiple profiles, and sync your packing lists across your devices.
