Madden NFL 10 is shipping on Friday. When it hits store shelves, the video game industry will finally emerge from what has been an extremely trying few months.

It has become so bad that in June, industry sales dropped by 31 percent to $1.17 billion. The industry generated $1.7 billion in sales in June 2008. Hardware sales took a 38 percent hit this past June, dropping to $382.6 million. Those disappointing results have followed a string of months where the industry has trailed far behind last year's numbers.

But now that Madden is finally close to its release date, the industry can breathe a sigh of relief. The game's release, historically, has been the first of many major releases that have helped buoy video game sales through the holiday season.

And luckily for us, this year is no different. That's why we've compiled a slideshow of video games coming to multiple consoles in the coming months. You won't find any exclusive titles in this slide show. If you're looking for that, check out the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii image galleries.

So, sit back, relax, and check out 10 games worth looking forward to over the next few months.
