Hulu Plus lands on four more Android handsets

The service is now available on a total of 10 Android smartphones, including the HTC Evo 4G and the HTC Thunderbolt, among others.

Hulu Plus is now available on four more Android-based smartphones, the video-streaming company announced yesterday.

The service is being offered on HTC's Evo 4G, ThunderBolt, MyTouch 4G, and G2. With those additions, Hulu Plus is now supported on 10 Android devices. The Nexus One, Nexus S, and Motorola Atrix were among the devices previously supported.

Although it was available on a host of mobile platforms, including iOS, Hulu Plus didn't arrive on Android until last month. Hulu said at the time that users could try it out for one month at no cost to see if they liked it.

Outside the mobile space, Hulu Plus is available on a wide array of devices, including the PlayStation 3, some HDTVs, and TiVo boxes. It's also accessible from the browser, alongside a free version of the streaming service. Hulu Plus costs $7.99 per month for access, putting it inline with Netflix. However, unlike Netflix, Hulu Plus users are still forced to sit through advertisements.

Hulu's support for more Android handsets comes as the streaming firm is trying to find a buyer. Yahoo and Google, among many others, have reportedly shown interest in buying Hulu, but the latest rumors suggest any possible deal is still a ways off.
