Ask Conan a question, get a Facebook video reply

Comedian Conan O'Brien is using Facebook to answer the many questions folks might have about his move to TBS. And he wants viewer questions, which he'll answer via online video.

Conan O'Brien's new show is coming to TBS on November 8. In the meantime--perhaps as a creative way to get the word out--he is inviting fans to ask him questions about himself, his new show, and his past.

The controversial comedian announced in a video this week that anyone can ask him questions on the Team Coco Facebook page. He will then answer some of those questions in a follow-up video.

O'Brien didn't say when he would answer the questions, but his Facebook page is still soliciting them as of this writing. So far, there are more than 2,000 questions on his Facebook page, ranging from why he chose TBS to whom he will have as his first show guest. O'Brien didn't say if any topics will be off-limits, but it's not a stretch to say that he'll likely choose the questions he decides to answer quite carefully.

Conan became somewhat of a force in the social-networking world after joining Twitter in February. He currently has more than 1.5 million followers on Twitter with whom he communicates with each day. His Facebook page has been liked by nearly 69,000 people. He has also a YouTube channel that he uses to promote his new show.

With any luck at all, Conan will answer some of the more colorful questions in the thread. I'm especially interested in finding out if he will indeed donate "some of the hairs" from his beard for use on one person's "celebrity hair pillow." Another person asked him if "Jay Leno will be [his] first guest."

But perhaps the best question in the group--and one that I'd love to see Conan answer--has nothing to do with his TBS show and everything to do with survival.

"Would you rather be in a shallow pool with a shark as the water slowly increased, or in space with a tiger as the gravity slowly decreased?" one fan asked via the Team Coco page. "In both scenarios, your only weapon is a badminton racket."
