Soon you'll be able to tell Amazon devices with the Alexa voice assistant to brew up a fresh pot of java when you ask.

Now playing: Watch this: A great drip coffee maker with some useful smarts

You can now add coffee makers to the growing list of voice-controlled smart home products. Specifically, soon you'll be able to use Amazon's Alexa voice assistant to command and keep tabs on the Behmor Connected Brewer.

According to a release from Behmor, the company behind the high-tech coffee maker, you'll be able to say things like, "Alexa, ask Behmor to start brewing my favorite coffee," or "Alexa, ask Behmor if my coffee is ready" to compatible Amazon devices such as the Echo and Echo Dot, which will communicate the order and report back via its virtual voice.

The coffee maker will also work with Amazon's Dash to automatically reorder beans when its supply begins to run low. Currently users can purchase coffee beans via the Behmor companion app on a smartphone or tablet.

Behmor expects to showcase the product at the upcoming Smart Kitchen Summit in Seattle. Stay tuned for hands-on updates since we plan to report from show.
