$40 at Amazon

EarFun Free

Workout-friendly wireless earbuds

Listening to music or podcasts while you exercise can make your workout more enjoyable, but you don't necessarily need to spend $100-plus on wireless earbuds.

EarFun's Free earbuds are waterproof, have wireless charging and give you good sound quality for the price. According to CNET's review, they're lightweight and stay in your ears when you run.

$160 at Zappos

Asics Gel Kayano 26

Multi-purpose exercise shoes

This versatile workout shoe offer solid ankle stability for running and has added cushioning to make pretty much any kind of exercise more comfortable. Despite its padding, the Gel Kayano is lightweight and easy to run in. It also comes in many different color options, so you'll likely find one that matches Mom's style.

$30 at Target

All in Motion Women's Stretch Woven Cargo Joggers

Workout pants she can wear outside of the gym

Target's All in Motion brand features stylish workout wear that looks like high-end brands but costs much less. These cargo pants come in four colors -- black, olive green, blue and dark grey -- and have a loose, yet tailored design that looks just as good outside the gym as in it. The ample pockets (including a secret zippered pocket) also gives mom the space to stash her stuff. The pants have a moisture-wicking fabric that dries quickly and they protect you from UV rays.

Another great option are these workout leggings from Old Navy that have mesh cutouts and side pockets to hold your phone while exercising.

$120 at Manduka

Manduka Pro Yoga Mat

A premium yoga mat (plus cheaper options)

For moms who love yoga and pilates, get them a really great mat. Manduka's Pro mat is sturdy and thick, with a no-slip surface that keeps you in place during even the most difficult poses.

Unfortunately for those on a budget, the Maduka mat does not come cheap. If you're looking for a less expensive option, try one of these colorful yoga mats from Yoga Direct for just $20.

Check out CNET's full list of yoga mats we recommend for more gift options.

Sportneer Percussive Massage Gun

Massage gun for aches and pains

A massage is a great way to soothe aching muscles, but they don't come cheap. For the price of one full-body massage, you can get her a massage gun instead. These high-powered percussive guns help relieve muscle tension and are a good way to deal with delayed onset muscle soreness.

Many massage guns cost well over $200, but if you want to save some funds, the Sportneer is one of the least expensive models that we recommend. Looking to spend a little more? Check out our favorite massage guns here.

$30 at Hydroflask

Hydro Flask Standard Mouth 18 ounces

Help her stay hydrated

Water is key for a good workout, and the right water bottle can make all the difference. We are particularly fond of Hydroflask bottles, which have a double-insulated design that keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Plus, they come in an entire rainbow of colors.

Looking for a few other options? We got you covered. Check out CNET's favorite water bottles, include those that are self-cleaning and ones that filter water for you.

$329 at Amazon

Apple Watch Series 5

Splurge-worthy smartwatch

If mom is a serious tech fan (and owns an iPhone), consider gifting the Apple Watch Series 5. It's a great fitness companion, and if you get the LTE version, it even pulls double duty as a phone. Mom can download apps, make payments, stream music and take calls right from your wrist, even when she's out pounding the pavement sans phone.

It also comes with serious health chops beyond basic fitness tracking: It notifies you of high or irregular heart rhythms that could signal potentially life-threatening conditions like atrial fibrillation, has a built in electrocardiogram (ECG) feature and alerts your emergency contacts if you've taken a bad fall. It can even monitor the noise levels around you and tell you if they are unsafe for your hearing.

If you're looking to spend less, the Series 3 Watch shares a lot of the same great features and can be found on sale for as little as $199.

Fitbit Charge 4

Slim fitness tracker

If mom is hesitant to get an Apple Watch, consider the Fitbit Charge 4 instead. This fitness tracker is smaller, and more sleek, and comes in 4 colors to suit her tastes. Plus, it's cheaper.

It features all of the features mom would want, including GPS, heart rate monitoring, exercise tracking and daily stats like steps walked and distance traveled. It also includes a few welcome extras, including tap to pay, notifications from your phone and custom watch faces. Unlike the more expensive Apple Watch, the Charge 4 can track mom's sleep. It also lasts for up to 7 days on a single charge. Bonus points for women: it even tracks your menstrual cycle.

$60 at Amazon

Xiaomi Mi Band 4

The best budget fitness tracker

If you are set on getting mom a fitness tracker, but don't have a big budget, don't overlook the Xiaomi My Band 4. It's less than $40, and while you might think you aren't getting much for that price, this fitness tracker and smartwatch hybrid is actually a great low-cost alternative to pricier options.

The Mi Band 4 can track steps, sleep, heart rate, up to six different workout types and more. The design is sleek, the screen is bright and easy to read, and the battery life on this Xiaomi Mi band can last up to 20 days on a single charge. The Apple Watch can't even come close to that.
