There are a lot of great Android phones on the market, and Samsung makes some of the best ones ones out there. Although the company's S24 lineup is out now, that doesn't mean the older S23 phones are obsolete. In fact, going with the older generation means you can get a pretty good deal, especially with a trade-in, and the S23 Ultra is still competitively powerful with the lower-end S24 models. The budget-friendly Galaxy S23 FE isn't too bad either, so you have quite a few options, depending on your budget. Regardless, you're still basically getting a flagship-level phone for a good price. Right now, plenty of carriers and retailers are offering great trade-in and even BOGO deals that can help you score an S23 while still saving money.

In February 2023, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. All three retain the same screen sizes as the 2022 models at 6.1, 6.6 and 6.8 inches, respectively, with a refined external design and some modest upgrades to the camera hardware, battery sizes and internal storage of the larger two models. A version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor powers the new phones and is optimized for the Galaxy S23 lineup, which we found in our tests to have much faster performance than the S22.

The new Galaxy S23 FE hit shelves in October 2023 and is the most affordable model in the S23 lineup. It has a midsize 6.4-inch display and improved battery life but comes equipped with the previous-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Whether you're excited to get your hands on one of Samsung's flagship phones, or maybe it's just time to upgrade from an older phone, we'll help you save some cash on your S23 purchase. Note that the deals and bonuses below are all time-limited and could change.

How much does the Galaxy S23 cost?

The four models of the Galaxy S23 are available in various storage configurations. Regular US pricing for each model starts at:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: $600
  • Samsung Galaxy S23: $800
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: $1,000
  • Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: $1,200

Note that Samsung has improved the base storage for the Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 Ultra, doubling it to 256GB instead of the 128GB found in the S22 models. The base-spec Galaxy S23 and S23 FE models remain at 128GB. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus offer 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM.

What colors does the Galaxy S23 come in?

As always, Samsung's phones come in an array of attractive colors. This time, there's a selection of nature-inspired colors for the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra, including phantom black, cream, green and lavender. Plus, Samsung is also offering an exclusive lime green color in its own online store. The Galaxy S23 FE is available only in graphite, cream, mint and purple.

Best Galaxy S23 deals

Amazon doesn't have a current offer on the Galaxy S23FE right now. However, it has a trade-in program that can help you save up to $260 depending on the phone make and condition.

Samsung isn't offering discounts on the Galaxy S23 FE right now. If you're interested in this phone, you can get $535 off the S23 Ultra with an eligible trade-in. Newer Apple and Samsung devices will net you the most, but you'll get enhanced credit for phones from Google, Motorola and other brands as well.

Best Buy isn't offering discounts on unlocked S23 FE series phones. You can still save if you trade a phone in and get a plan with AT&T or Verizon. This can net you savings of up to $1,000 off the S23, S23 Plus or S23 Ultra.

Verizon is offering both new and existing customers a chance to save on Galaxy S23 phones. Those adding a new line can get either the S23 or S23 FE for free, with any money spent credited to your bill over 36 months. You can also get an Amazon Fire TV 65-inch Omni Series for free for those who purchase with a new Unlimited Ultimate or Unlimited Plus plan.

Additionally, right now you can get up to $170 back in promotional credits when you add a Galaxy Watch 6 to your purchase. You can also get a credit of up to $550 of promotional credits for a Samsung Tab S9 FE 5G provided you also open a line for your tablet.

Right now, the offers on the S23 line are slim at AT&T, but if you're interested in the S23 FE, you can get a discount with an eligible trade-in. Not all phones are eligible for trade-in, but AT&T can provide you with a promotional card. You can use the value in this card toward your payment balance, or to get additional accessories for your S23.

T-Mobile is offering new and existing customers quite a few ways to save on the S23 series right now. Those adding a new line of service can save up to $300 with a new line or with a trade-in. Some trade-ins will only net you a discount of $200.

Xfinity is offering up to $400 off the Galaxy S23, S23 FE and S23Plus right now. Eligible trade-ins or new lines can nab a savings of up to $600. The latest iPhones will net you the biggest discount, but Xfinity also accepts models from Samsung and Google, as well as tons of smaller brands. Like most other carrier trade-in offers, the discount will be applied in the form of monthly bill credits. You can also choose to receive your money back in the form of a check, although it may reduce your discount a bit.

But there are more ways to save. Existing Xfinity customers may also qualify for a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the Galaxy S23 FE -- perfect for families.
