Zune to Europe

by krootdude / September 16, 2008 3:01 AM PDT

I am a faithful Zune user living in Austria (central Europe) and I am having difficulties downloading/updating my nifty little Zune 80GB. What I want to ask is: Does anybody see the zune coming to Europe in the near future? In my opinion there would be a great market for the Zune here. I have met a lot of disappointed iPod users here, who would love to have a Zune.

Accesss to Zune Marketplace outside of the US

Hi all,
I bought a Zune a few months ago knowing that I couldn't get access to the marketplace, but sure that there must be a way.
I spent a few hours researching a way to get it done and I have a very simple solution which I've written up in this blog post.
If you're outside the 'States now and want access to all the Zune goodies, have a read over here:

Grest post for me too, thanks...

... but those are way more hoops than I'd like. I really would like to try a Zune with the full range of services - and I do have a US credit card, but the IP (presumable) geolocation on top of that makes it pretty useless to me. I was wondering about the IP situation, and it was great to stumble across a post which answered this.

A great shame - and if we get it when MS apparently plans it, I believe we're looking at the end of the portable media-only-player market as we know it. Perhaps they're looking to unleash the Zune Phone upon us Europeans - that would be interesting.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
