General discussion

ZSystems?

Nov 23, 2004 1:27AM PST

Have a friend who was given an old computer. I have offered to see if I could find out about it and get it running. Have another friend with a spare monitor, etc.
Googling only finds software sites. Only hardware sites are complaint ones. While I certainly wouldn't buy one of these "alleged" turkeys, I just need to find out something about this one, since she doesn't have one otherwise. ZSystems.com brings up nothing related. If
someone could point me to an info site, I would appreciate it. All the info I have is Model SHTMK20 D800

Time to inventory it.

When dealing with such a machine, I open up the case and start an inventory.

What's missing in your post is what issue there is with the machine.

Haven't had a chance to open it. First concern I had was video card (or onboard graphics) for monitor. One reason
the monitor was offered was he couldn't get it to work on his Mac. I suspect drivers, since he has an ATI radeon 7000. Just need to see if there is any need to do the work to carry project forward. Things like having no way
to get monitor, having to buy power cord, etc. No issues
yet, just need basic info on puter. chuck
