Zoom Shortcuts in Firefox

May 15, 2010 6:28PM PDT

Ctrl++ to Zoom In in Fx no longer works. Zoom Out (Ctrl+-) and Restore (Ctrl+0) still work as ever. Only Zoom In seems to be disabled.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanx.

Maybe uninstalling...

And then reinstalling Firefox will fix things? I just tried the zoom features, and it worked for me.

Thanks, but...

I tried that already (XP). Also, I installed Firefox last weekend onto a new computer with Win7 with the same results. It may be because I'm using English Firefox on Japanese OSes, but up until a few months ago it always worked. (I don't use that feature enough to remember what system update(s) may have contributed to breaking it.)

It works... just weirdly.....

By trial and error, I discovered that it works (Zoom In only) by holding down both Shift and CTRL while pushing +. Zoom Out works the standard way (CTRL+-). I don't know if this has anything to do with the language difference already mentioned or not. It would be interesting to find if this is the solution/workaround in any other cases.
