Zone Alarm Suite 6 won't allow system to reboot...

Dec 9, 2005 4:40AM PST

I have Windows XP Pro SP2 on my system along with the free version of AVG Anti-virus software. I installed the ZA Suite and typed in the activation code and went through the set up. Then it asks to reboot the computer so that my settings can take effect. That's where the trouble starts, everything is fine until my system gets to the windows splash screen. Once there the progress bar just keeps rolling by but there's no activity on my HD light and I've waited anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes thinking it's just doing its thing. I reset my PC and go into safe mode where I uninstall the ZA Suite 6 and my computer will start up without any trouble. Should I remove the AVG and see what happens? I tried Trend Micro's security suite and it will install but for some reason it kills both of my optical drives, remove it and they work fine. Any ideas sure would be appreciated.

I got ticked and removed the free version of AVG and then installed the ZA Suite 6.0 and now everything is working properly. ZA scans my mail send the junk to the proper folders and I now have a much better firewall then what Windows XP has.
