Zone Alarm/SP2

Nov 26, 2004 2:37AM PST

I had been using Zone Alarm for several years then installled the "upgrade". It shut me down, and I couldn't get the older version back. Downloaded the SP2 and now when I get emails there are no images. What to do?

sounds like you have a trojan or virus. I would first try and go to a site to get a virus cleaner. Your antivirus web page usually supplies one. Hut anyone can use the program free. Good luck. Once you have the virus out use system restore and then install ZoneAlarm.

It's PROBABLY due to a box that is checked in the options on SP2 in OE by default. Is there a bar on the top of the message box? IF there is, you can click on it and the images will show. It's a new security feature in SP2 so if you open an e-mail from a spammer who is using HTML, the spammer will NOT be able to tell you downloaded it. That feature can be shut off but I would recommend just leaving it checked and click the bar. It's not a hastle to do that and it's a lot safer.
