Yep, just like the priest abuse scandal. It only became true when church officials admitted it, even though it was commom fodder for 25 years.
Maybe now it won't be so hard to convince people that are having networking problems, etc. that they cannot just disable ZA, they have to completely uninstall it and get everything else working, and then put it back if they want it.

This issue has been a nagging issue for years. "Tech" has uninstalled hundreds of Zone Alarm installs to get networking up and running when Zone Alarm still works after we flip the disable setting.
At least they are noting the issue now.
