Zone alarm halts IE7

I followed the recent recommendation to install zone alarm and the jury is still out. It is very tiresome having to give permission for access, but the most irritating thing is that when I close IE7 XP puts up a message saying it will have to close IE7 and do I want to send a report to MS. I don't and I'd like to stop this intervention.

Something's not right with IE 7. Your report is among hundreds in the forums.

Why not use something else?

I have had IE7 now for several weeks and have had not one issue. I do use Firefox as my main browser, but some times I have to use IE and I have had no complaints so far. No bugs, no issues, no slow down or anything.

9 out of 10?

While a majority of IE 7 users report no issues, what to do with those others?

Here's my bet. Spyware and the damage from pests or "other" left systems in some unexpected condition for IE 7. We certainly saw that in SP2.
