You must have done something to it. Either that, or it wasn't manufactured correctly, because I have a Zen Touch and use it all year round and its never acted up on me (I live in Michigan, so temperatures range from warm, to mild, to chilly, to cold, to very cold, to knit-your-dog-a-sweater-or-it'll-fall-over-from-shock cold). Maybe you can get it checked for problems.

[BTW, my aunt's dog actually does faint/freeze when it goes outside at temperatures below -5.]
