Zen 16GB problem

It just plain wont work
It will not turn on or give any sighn of life
no responce when pluged into PC or by ether Zen software or explorer(XP 32 bit)
no responce when pluged into Zen charger
Just got it for Christmas
tried reset button when plugged in and when holding down power and every thing and it does not work so...
What can I do to fix this

First off, have you charged it fully? The first time it takes several hours.

If you're still having problems, try going to the Creative website (www.creative.com). Check for the Recovery Tool. If that fails, you can contact their customer service. They've responded surprisingly quickly when I've had a problem.

When I've had problems with mine, it's usually been me, thinking I've done everything right but missing something.

I have charged it over night in the computer and the Zen charger and no luck

I cant use the tool because the computer wont even see the device

hrm.. so if the reset button doesn't do the trick, i suggest:
taking it back. did u buy an extended warranty?

I did not get the warrenty (partly because I have never had an mp3 player break (now im using my dads 512 mb 4 year old samsung)). Is there any way to convince Zen to get me a new one or spend a little money to have it fixed?

Im thinking if just getting a PSP slim
