zeiss lens

in the compact sony. I am considering the sony for the lens- and the pentax optio wp for the features, and its' weathertightness for backpacking (NB- Methinks that waterproof is probably a stretch.) I've read negatives about the image quality with the pentax. I want a rugged camera that takes bright colorful pictures; can anybody comment? thanks in advance- Lyn

a compact digital camera with interchangeable lenses?! the sony site is real swell...I will look into the olympis- why are you recommeding the olympis- what do you like about them?

My answer was Olympus Stylus line of cameras.

I know of no other camera company that has more experience with weatherproof cameras.
