YP-MT6 XP compatible?

Jun 19, 2005 1:38AM PDT

I just got this mps player, but the driver says for Win 98 only. Is there a driver for it for XP Home edition somewhere on the net?

Just got it?

Why not return it to the seller as unsuitable for your needs?

There's a lot of trash out there, so be a picky consumer and demand the vendors support or accept the return.

No drivers required

i personally own a yp-mt6x, xp detects the player automatically and it acts as a removable drive on my computer. drivers are only required for win 98.

Ok, I see it as a removeable drive. But I have another problem. As soon as I plug it into the USB port,it detects it. I canhear the promt sound. The next folder I click on to find my music, the comp freezes.
I have reformatted recently and have found my Digital camera & my Digital camcorder wont work either, when the once did work. When I plug them both into the usb ports, the sound prompt comes up, but both say no device detected. Drivers are in for both.

Did you try to install the drivers?

It sounds like you're having a problem with your USB ports rather than the individual devices. Did you try installing the Win 98 drivers at any time? It's just a very wild guess, but if you did they might be causing the problem. If so try to uninstall them, and if not you should look for help in a hardware forum rather than and mp3 player forum.
