I suspect maybe your college IT dept. is involved here, has known of this workaround, and has fixed the leak. No one here is permitted to help you break this so you take the problem to your help desk. They may tell you why this is being done but I suspect they won't help you get through. Some IT departments can offer a pass code on an individual basis that still has its own limitations.
Youtube on my college network is on education filter.
Earlier it can be bypassed just by using https ,, but now it does not work.
