Question

YouTube links go to Google Chrome page

Oct 6, 2012 8:13AM PDT

When I go to a YouTube video, highlight the link and hit Copy,,, then when I paste that same link,,, the link changes to a save_tube_video link, then when that link is clicked, it goes to a Google web page for pushing to install Chrome.
Tried Malwarebytes, SpyBot, removed and reinstalled Mozilla Waterfox,, and removed YouTube Downloader, does it on IE also,,,,where is the bug, I can not send or share any You Tube Links.

So those scans should come up empty.

It sounds like you have some YouTube save add on installed. Check your add ons.

removed all the add-ons extensions,,,,Removed Firefox and Waterfox reinstalled waterfox,,,, this does this same link hijack with IE9,,,,, I can copy paste other web links,,, it is just you tube links that get re-written from copy to paste,,,,all links are hacked like this:

http://www.savetubevideo.com/?v=ks_TWcupE6w

the savetubevideo.com is the problem,,,,, I can rewrite the above to the line below, and it works ok, as it then matches the correct address of the link, but the copy paste move, changes it to that stupid savetube link,

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ks_TWcupE6w
