So when it breaks, there is little Sony or Samsung can do about it. If a Samsung tech said so, well then maybe this is your reason for exchange or return.
You bring up a great issue. When I buy a car by Ford, I don't worry that the radio in the car stops because Google withdrew an app. It's Ford's to fix. Today we have makers shipping TVs with bits and pieces they can't fix.
Another example is the ROVI guide. A lawsuit was lost and blammo, Sony, Samsung and others have lost that app. It's a mess here.
After buying one, then another (exchanged it) Samsung tech says YouTube app is broken on their server. For a week? Anyone know of this? Seriously thinking of exchanging TV for a Sony.
