Reasons Trump should not be president

Starts with a stupid commercial but, eventually, skip to about the 7 minute mark and you should be able to hear Romney's entire speech rather than the news snippets.

Romney
Mar 3, 2016 10:22AM PST

Romney...hypocrite and two-time presidential candidate loser...criticizing Trump for many issues that Romney himself was/is guilty of. Are you freaking kidding me? Keep telling voters how stupid they are, establishment Republicans, and you'll literally push Trump to the top all by yourselves. But that's typical of Republicans for years now.....shoot yourself in the foot and lose elections over and over when it really matters that you win. smh so much I can't believe my head is still attached to my neck.

I don't personally know Romney
Mar 3, 2016 10:55AM PST

and my comments are not about the man but what he says. I cannot disagree with his assessment of Mr. Trump as far as his demeanor and lack of respectful treatment of other people goes. Romney's impressions reflect my own. I don't want to see an "in your face" attitude being projected as that which Americans should consider as proper. Trump isn't going to unite anyone and neither is HC. IMO, we desperately need a person whose pugilistic side does not dominate their personality. I see only 2 1/2 such people still in the Republican race and 2 of those are fading fast, I'm sad to say.

Why Romney lost...in my view
Mar 6, 2016 5:06AM PST

1st. He didn't personally engage in the mud wrestling.
2nd. Obama wasn't running against Mitt Romney. Obama was running against Bush.

Romney brought some dignity back into the contest using thoughtful criticisms rather than condescension and name calling. Those qualities are not ones I've seen in Mr. Trump but ones I'll be looking again. If Romney failed because he lacked attack dog mentality, so be it. We don't need attack dogs running the country. Just like liars, what they'll do for you they'll also do to you.

Mitt "Brutus" Romney

Et Tu Mitt?

I'd like to give him a ride on top of my van in a large dog cage at 70 mph down the local interstate. If his dog liked it, he might too!

Mitt, sour grapes, twice stomped, and here comes the whine.

You're OK with how Trump
Mar 4, 2016 8:22AM PST

has been treating the other candidates? His belittling of others is fine with you and you'd be proud of a president who acted like a school yard bully? I surely wouldn't. In that respect, I think Romney is correct. One's displeasure a person shouldn't mean everything they say or do is bad.

of a person's attitude but not every person's attitude is acceptable for any job. The most raggedy and foul mouthed sailor is the better choice to steer a ship in a storm than is an even tempered preacher but you probably don't want that sailor greeting dignitaries to your town or setting an example for your children. People like Trump have a place but it's not to lead a country. I could suspect, however, that he's not a team player nor would he accept the 2nd fiddle.

Mar 5, 2016 3:07PM PST

And her accomplishments that qualify her to criticize a Romney who is more than 40 years older? She should show more respect for people old enough to be her grandfather and who have been successful in living a decent life and doing good for more people than she's probably ever met. Shame on you, whipper snapper.

bible thought
Mar 5, 2016 5:13PM PST

Job 32:9 International Standard Version (ISV)
“The aged aren’t always wise, nor do the elderly always understand justice.

Ecclesiastes 4:13-15 International Standard Version (ISV)
A poor but wise youth is better than an old but foolish king who will no longer accept correction.
The former can come out of prison to reign, while the latter, even if born to[a] kingship, may become poor.

You can find exceptions but wisdom still needs to be proven
Mar 6, 2016 2:11AM PST

You can find more in the bible about showing respect for age and wisdom than about honoring youthful petulance. I can play this too. If you look to Leviticus, you'll find this:

(19:32) Rise up from thy seat in reverence for grey hairs; honour the aged, as thou dost fear God, the Lord thy God.

Read also what follows the above as it speaks to how we should treat strangers in our land. Trump would hate it.

I can find tons more like this but don't care to engage in a pointless snowball fight.

Me thinks the young lady is well out of her league in this instance but still has an opportunity to serve her cause by taking on those of her own "selfie generation" who seem to more interested in appeasing every part of their bodies but that contained in their craniums. Mitt has, IMO, earned the right to challenge his own peers. Let this young person challenger her own as well.

Re: illegal immigration
Mar 6, 2016 6:22AM PST

I wonder what the Bible says about the illegal immigration into the American (both North, Middle and South) continent by the Europeans after Columbus 'discovered' it in 1492. I never read he and his successors applied for the then equivalent of a 'green card'. They came, conquered and stayed.

Maybe the Chinese, Indians, Latino's or Muslims will do the same in the next few hundred years. Things keep changing in the world.

What? Do you think
Mar 6, 2016 8:58AM PST

the USA is the only country they will come to? This is the second post now where you have only suggested the 'Americas' are at risk..... Just curious about your way of thinking because it seems as if you buy into the bull that the USA is entirely at fault for Islamist terrorists, yet many other 'westernized' countries are being attacked almost daily. When do those countries feel the need to 'apologize' and bow down to them?

Why do you think so many natives died from diseases that didn't kill the Europeans? Why didn't American diseases kill Europeans? God.

You can attribute that to God..

But why do you feel it's YOUR job/duty to condemn/administer justice/vengeance on others?
