Your Prayers!

by Keasling / December 7, 2006 3:17 PM PST

In light of the recent tragedy, I am hesitant to post this, however with what my country and state is facing, I feel that I must call on those within the community that I inhabit to pray.

I live in Australia, specifically Victoria. At the moment we are facing a weekend which could spell - and will most likely be - the worst bushfires we have ever encountered. It is predicted that they will take 20% of our state. Several thousand firefighters are already on the ground, with more stationed at various locations of high likelihood to go up.

I ask that you will pray for my state, and that if nothing else, no lives are taken. This is a prayer that I believe we here in the CNet forums can make wholeheartedly.

Yes, Absolutey.

Brushfires like that are no picnic - by the numbers, it's enormous...

The firefighters, you and your countrymen have my best wishes, thoughts and prayers.

If you have questions/concerns about the fire, I may be able to answer them - I'm with a volunteer fire dept. in Houston.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
