When the waters are calm
Sep 4, 2017 2:58AM PDT

people don't care as much about who is at the ship's wheel. But, when the waters get very rough, they want someone who's not afraid to battle the storm. They don't care if that person is polite in their language or likes to cuddle with kittens.

There are no "calm waters' when the leader is "unstable".

No..the survey, from NOT FAKE NEWS,...was about TheRUMP (says what he thinks, usually BEFORE thinking, bully and unstable)

No mention of the OTHER nutbar in the survey.

Yes, Trump says the first thing that pops into his head......and most times, it's been proven that he's been RIGHT with that assessment.

BO says the first thing that pops into HIS head....and most times, it's been proven that he's been WRONG....with devastating results (Cambridge, Trevon, ISIS, the LIAR candidate, Obamacare, BLM, OWS, Benghazi, the Stimulus, green jobs freebies, Iran, Libya, Egypt, Israeli elections that HE interfered with and used USA taxpayer money to do it, etc etc). THAT is the 'boss' mentality at work, Bob.

Filter
Sep 4, 2017 10:52AM PDT

You seem to filter everything the repubs do through your grudge with dems and liberals.
I don't give a hoot who or what party is in charge.
I would like it if they would be a little more centrist and not this far left or far right.
We went from far left and now the repubs want to go far right.......that's no way to run a business.

Re-read your post that I replied to.....
Sep 5, 2017 2:58AM PDT

You accuse me of using a filter because of my dislike and distrust of Democrats/liberals who have gone to the extreme far left (there are no Blue Dog Democrats left to compromise with), and yet you use a filter of your own to bash Trump and his agenda with this statement: "We went from far left and now the repubs want to go far right.......that's no way to run a business."

Where did the Democrats go FROM far left rather than TO it?

Your broad brush of Republicans wanting to go far right has to include Trump in that statement, and I replied that HE has not, but that SOME Repubs HAVE. I just asked for examples from you of how you can include him in that statement.

Anyone who even looks at Trump wrong and you bring out your 8+ year list of wrongs by the dems.

The last 8 Years must have been very painful for you.

All I said about Trump is he says whatever pops into his head.
Give it a couple of seconds of thought before talking.
That way it might not come out as a mess the staff has to handle.

I have no idea if Trump wants to go far right, so don't assume things, so far he just comes up with an idea and then tosses it to congress to fill in the blanks.
When that fails he has a fit.

Sit back and watch the Washington comedy show for the next 60 days.

Yes, it was a nightmare for me.......
Sep 5, 2017 9:57AM PDT

having BO in office.......

It may be a comedy show to you (what has 60 days got to do with it?), but it's still early into a huge mess that BO deliberately left behind as he walked out that door, so it'll take a little longer to straighten it out. I have faith in Trump....far less in the Republicans he has to work with in Congress because so many of them are 'not Trumpers' so they might as well be Democrats at this point regarding 'resistance'.....and no faith whatsoever in the Dems. That no faith attitude is entirely based on the statements and proof they've already handed out since Jan. 20. There are no moderates left in Congress on either side......but my beef with Republicans is that they ran ON the Trump agenda to get elected and now they are running AWAY from it once they were sworn in.

why does he waste so much time, being Canadian
Sep 5, 2017 10:12AM PDT

If it was something international, maybe understandable, but when it's internal politics, and he's not a citizen here, seems a total waste of time on his part. I don't pay a lot of attention to what internal politics in Mexico or Canada are up to, since most of it doesn't concern me in anyway.

Unfortunately,
Sep 6, 2017 2:13AM PDT

with only 11 days to get anything done in the entire month of September after they all left for the whole month of August (and they did that even KNOWING that Sept. was a very short work month for them), I don't see anything being done either except more CR's instead of going back to real appropriation bills like it was done before BO came on the scene, more punting, and more caving to the Dems.

The day Trump was sworn in, Paul Ryan was all over the television talking about how much they would be able to accomplish now, and it's 7 months later....they (he and McConnell) knew that money deadlines would be coming this month, and again, they are no more prepared for it than they were for repealing Obamacare.

I'm totally disgusted today watching all the Republican weasels on the screen....

RE:Republican weasels
Sep 6, 2017 8:25AM PDT
Some are weasels...others are 'paper tigers?

But by late Tuesday, Trump appeared to have turned into a paper tiger on the key campaign promise to get rid of DACA, saying he would “revisit this issue” if Congress did not “legalize DACA.”

Breitbart?...Fake news? ....NOT Fake news?
- Collapse -
DACA was illegal and unconstitutional
Sep 6, 2017 9:46AM PDT

from the minute BO issued the memo to Homeland Security, Johnson....

A dozen or more States have filed lawsuits against the Federal Government claiming that....and the DOJ could NOT defend in court an illegal 'law' so DACA HAS to go away legally by Trump OR Congress HAS to write a bill that authorizes it into an actual law.

That's exactly what Trump has done......IF Congress DOESN'T write a bill that can keep ONLY the CURRENT DACA adults (only those who entered this country BEFORE 2007 were qualified so they are all adults now) in this country with green cards (NOT permanent amnesty), then Trump will allow DACA in six months to die and be gone forever. No more can apply with new applications (they will be denied) and those with applications that are in the process now of being reviewed or those with applications for extensions received by October 1st will be processed to allow them to stay for two years only. THEN they have to leave and apply for new green cards, or stay home.

The liberal left are all hollering about how Reagan gave full amnesty so Trump should as well.......that's not gonna happen. IF Congress was held by Dems for two full years AND held the Oval Office, AND they were really concerned about those (at that time) kids, they had plenty of time to do something about it and they DIDN'T. BO and others are now calling Trump's action 'cruel'....

What was/is cruel was the Dems ignoring the problem, BO admitting he didn't have the authority twenty times in 2011 to do what he then did in 2013, giving them all the belief that they would never face this issue, and Nancy Pelosi FUND RAISING on the political backs of these young adults that they have all exploited for years for political reasons. GWB WANTED immigration reform and was blocked from getting it done, even when DEMS controlled Congress for his last four years. BO talked about immigration reform for 8 years, did NOTHING about it when Dems controlled Congress during the first 2 years, and then continued to do nothing about it, even though there WAS bipartisan support for it.

Don't now hypocritically blame Trump for enforcing the existing laws when those laws COULD have been changed at any time for years.......

What exactly is there to "revisit"?

Are there 3 or more options?

Not so fast?

For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about - No action!

He could have
Sep 7, 2017 2:31PM PDT

stopped it abruptly and to a screeching half, putting them all in jeopardy immediately, but he didn't.....he did what BO SHOULD have done (because even HE said he didn't have the authority to change law....20 times), and toss it to Congress to MAKE a bill for them. Trump is giving them a chance to do that.
