For most if not everything I do an Acer Predator laptop with the usual i7, 1070 GPU, SSD and such seems to do it all.

I will be doing a retro PC upgrade soon. It's a HP d5000t with Core2Quad CPU so it's getting a RAM, SSD and GPU upgrade and then off to my son to see what he thinks of it on Fortnite gaming.

The user needs to do is decide what they want to do with the machine.

If the need is surfing and an occasional board game then they don't need much of a machine for that.

If the need is gaming or editing or multi-tasking then they need to go upscale.
