You're "between jobs"

Talking heads say don't refer to yourself as being unemployed, refer to yourself as being between jobs. (it makes you feel not as bad)

Do you file for "between jobs benefits"?

They just "seek other opportunities". Does this include not having to work?

People don't get fired either

They're just "no longer with us". Well, so are dead people.

When there is a need for layoffs or dismissal as part of reorganization or whatever other reason, the company "reallocates personnel resources to the community."
