Did you rely on Microsoft to find drivers?
If so, it's time to do this the old fashioned way. Find drivers, install them. Adjust, etc.

After months of reading about how wonderful Win 7 is I finally got around to doing an install this past weekend. Well?something sure isn?t right and I hope it is just me or Win 7 makes VISTA look really good! Here are the issues:
1. Screen resolution keeps changing, from very small to so large it runs off the page. The bottom menu bar occupies about an inch of the page and then there are black bars on either side that occupy another inch per side. I have adjusted screen resolution from the standard 1680X1050 all the way down to the very large, but poor resolution of 800X600 and nothing changes. I?ve changed background and desktop and, again, nothing changes. Prior to loading 7 this problem did not occur
2. System performance is incredibly slow?very, very, very slow
3. System hangs or crashes frequently, particularly if more than one AP is open.
4. Every time I attempt to check e-mail, click on a link, open a new AP, move an AP, etc. I get the message that this is prohibited and I must check with my system Admin. I am the only user, I am the system admin, I am signed in as system admin, and there are no other user profiles. I now cannot open linked e-mail because the system does not recognize me as the admin! I cannot upload images to my own website without authorization from the system admin --- who is me! This also occurs when I attempt to migrate a file from the external drive onto the HD.
5. I keep getting a message stating I must reformat the external drive to make it compatible for use ? ah, the external drive is formatted the same as the internal drive and contains what is basically a mirror image without the OS.
None of these issues occurred prior to installing Win 7. I did a custom clean install from the boot. Any insight, help, advice anyone can offer will be very welcome. Thanks!
