YH-925 Burned up while charging!

Jun 13, 2005 4:48AM PDT

I have had the usual complaints with my player, but now I've just plain had it. About three weeks after spending no less than 12 hours (no exageration) loading a 15GB library with Windows Media, now the thing has just quit.

Plugged it in last night, showed on both screens as connected. Went to bed. Woke up this morning, and when I tried to safely disconnect the device, it did not show on the list. Then I noticed the screen was off. When I picked the unit up, it was hot. I mean HOT... I'd have to say that the aluminum button on the face was an easy 150F.

It would not power on, so I threw it in the fridge for about 5 minutes. Afterward, it powered up, but then locked up on the bootloader screen. I cannot shut it off, and seven hours later, it is still on that screen.

I really hate this piece of s@#t. I don't save any receipts for anything, nor do I register anything that I buy, therefore no warranty. Yet I consider that a positive, because this is the single worst product I have ever purchased, and I do not want another one. At least I can justify buying something else now.
