Yet Another Problem with My BRAND NEW HP Vista Laptop!

Oct 31, 2007 2:40AM PDT

About one-forth of the time when I boot up my BRAND NEW HP Vista laptop I get an error message to the effect that there has been an Unauthorized Change to my Vista License, and the machine will refuse to boot up any further. What the hell is that all about? It takes another reboot or two for the machine to finally boot up properly. Does anyone know why this occurs? I did NOTHING to the Vista license. I am starting to really HATE Windows Vista.

Ask for fix or full refund. Better yet if on a credit card since you can call the card company and start the arm twisting.

This is not your issue to fix. Just to go get your money back.

I've had the following problems with Vista

Make sure your copy of Vista is activated. start> control panel> system> at the bottom center of the screen it should say that your copy has been activated. If not click the box to activate it. I've had numerous problems getting this function to work properly. If you fail the OS will shut down after thirty days and must be reinstalled.

Good luck.
