Is it possible to convert an S-Video signal going into my Yamaha rx-v800 to component video output to a tv with component video inputs?

Convert S-Video to Component video on the Yamaha rx-v800

In reply to: (NT) What does the owners manual say? John

The manual states:

. If you make S-video connections to this unit, it is not necessary to make composite connections. If both types of connections are made, this unit gives priority to th S-video signal.

. You can designate the input for the COMPONENT VIDEO A and B jacks according to your component by using ''7 I/O ASSIGNMENT'' on the SET MENU.

7 I/O ASSIGNMENT says '' Use this feature to designate the input for the COMPONENT jacks (A and B) and the DIGITAL INPUT/OUTPUT jacks to any sources you want.

I have never used the I/O ASSIGNMENT because I really don't know what it does.
