Question

Yamaha Receiver does not support 1080p60

Aug 20, 2015 5:04PM PDT

A year ago I bought a Yamaha RX A740 at Best Buy. I hooked it up but quickly discovered any signal in 1080p60 would not work. 1080p30 works just fine. I tried connecting directly to my TV and found success with 1080p60 signals, but when routed through this receiver, all I get is flashing image, fuzzy image, or blackness. Best Buy graciously allowed me to replace the device 3x. It's definitely the receiver. I recently bought a couple game consoles and really need the additional HDMI inputs, but I can't figure this out for the life of me. I tried all kinds of settings and tried different cables, nothing works. Is there any way I can get it to work. I feel like I'm the only one with this issue.

Can ANYONE please help me? I feel like it might be a setting or something with the HDCP handshake or I don't know. I'm not a professional but this seems very off that it wouldn't just work out of the box.
If it helps, I'm trying to connect a PC, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, and Mac Mini to the receiver which would then output to my Panasonic Viera TC-P60S30. Also audio routed works flawlessly, only a video issue occurring here.
