Help!
Problem: I am not getting audio to go from my Yamaha MG16XU audio mixer via USB to my computer.
Please help - what am I doing wrong?
Here is what I am doing: I am using the MG16XU to feed my dedicated streaming computer's OBS studio. (My computer has an i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20Ghz, 16GB RAM [soon to be 32GB], 64-bit OS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and 1TB HD.) I downloaded and installed Yamaha's Steinberg USB driver V1.9.10-2 for Win 10/8.1/7(SP1) (32bit/64bit). I have a USB A/B 2.0 cable going from the mixer to my computer. (In accordance with the guidance from the manufacturers manual, I am using a USB 2.0 cable instead of a 3.0.) I have tried connecting the cable to the computer's USB 2.0 input and the USB 3.0 input. In both cases, my computer recognizes the MG-XU, and in the device manager I set it as the default. The MG-XU mixer’s level meter displays appropriate levels, and I hear audio via headset in the mixer’s RCA Monitor Out. Lastly, I have tried setting the LINE / USB to either setting to no avail. Despite my effort, I am not able to transmit audio via USB to my computer for OBS.
Again, what am I doing wrong?
Please help!
Thanks, Tom Jr.
