yahoo problems

apparently some dork 'compromised' my yahoo account and now i cannot get into my email or messenger, like i've lost all yahoo stuff i had -- i have a Dell all-in-one comp, 6 months old, Windows 7; if anyone can help, i would appreciate it

i keep getting a "secret question" on yahoo help which i never had to answer before (and which i don't know the answer to), so it tells me i give the wrong answer to the "secret question"; in other words, yahoo help is no help at all since i can't get past this; when i tried to sign in to yahoo recently, a strange yahoo id was in the sign-in box (i didn't write it down)
