Yahoo! Music...?

Nov 12, 2005 12:46PM PST

Does anyone know when (if ever) Yahoo! will make their unlimited to go music service available to Ipod users? I bought an Ipod Nano, but now realize that Apple is the only company (for the most part) left out of these types of unlimited music services. I would REALLY love to be able to use it. I use launchcast regularly and would like to take all the tunes with me without having to drop a load of cash buying the songs.

Apple as much as Yahoo responsible
Nov 12, 2005 1:03PM PST

The Ipod does not play wma so it is as much Apple as Yahoo that is responsible. And Apple has fought people that wanted to make available AAC.

In short, it isn't going to happen any time soon.

But I use Yahoo and really like it.

When a certain place freezes over....

In a word, never.

Apple insists on controlling everything about the iPod. If they could they woudn't let it run on anything other than Apple computers, but that would have limited their market appeal too much.

This is, among other reasons, why I won't buy an iPod.
