Yahoo Messeger (problem)

There's a problem with Yahoo Messenger for old versions. When I tried to send files to my friend at Yahoo Messenger for old versions, the transfer has automatically stopped and did not work and won't load. I tried to install any other old versions of Yahoo Messenger, but none of any won't work and there was a technical problem for that program. Is there any other good versions of Yahoo Messenger if it's 100% working without technical problems? Not sure which version is good.

Given you want no technical problems the answer has to be no.

Did you try sharing the file with say Dropbox?

Just want to update this message. I found out that Yahoo Messenger (for Windows client) will not be supported anymore and will shut down on August 5. So nothing I can do about it.

If anybody know of any instant messaging client (for Windows client), than Yahoo Messenger. Then feel free for suggestion.

That I can't pick just one. But for me, email works and for big files I use Dropbox. I email them the link and I don't have to be online for them to pick it up.
